Washington State House Candidate (for District # 35), Daniel G. Griffey was born in Bremerton, Washington December 15, 1970 to Delmer and Barbara Griffey. Dan has a brother, Dennis and a sister, Jennifer. The family lives in Allyn, Washington.

Dan is still very close to his Mother and Father. He contributes much of his love for Country and Community to his Grandpa Gene. Dan and Grandpa Gene were inseparable while Dan was growing up. Dan was brought up to respect and honor historical sites, heritage and community pride. Grandpa Gene also taught Dan how to play the fiddle.

Dan was always active within the Community, his school and sports, especially Football. Dan and his family took the lead on many community projects and could be counted on to help where ever they could.

While in high school Dan was a volunteer firefighter, an EMT, a fiddler, a football player, a parliamentarian, a mechanic, a track team competitor and a member of the historical society. He was always on the go and still is to this day.

Following high school, Dan graduated from the intensive fire fighting training courses at the North Bend Fire Academy. While awaiting a position within the fire department, Dan worked as a truck driver for Lumbermen's. Dan now proudly serves his community as a Professional Firefighter. During his tenure as a Fireman, Dan has served in a multitude of positions within the Union including President and Vice President.

Dan was married in 1992 to Dinah Lee Espedal. Dan and Dinah have three children: Alyssa, Megan and Sarah. The Dan Griffey family resides in Allyn, Washington.

Dan has a personal passion for history. He has extensively studied the Constitution, the Washington State Legislature and read countless volumes of historical writings. He has a fondness for the life history of the founding fathers, their ideals and visions. Such inspiration took a hold of Dan and has guided him in his decision to run for the Washington State House.

Dan has arrived at a point in his life to serve in public office. He is dedicated, knowledgeable and a tireless worker.
